Impact of October 7 and the Gaza War on Academic Discourse

After the massacre of October 7, 2023, exactly two years ago, and the ongoing war and almost complete destruction of Gaza, Israel’s society, politics, and standing in the world has undergone a significant transformation. What is the effect of this on the academic study and the teaching of Israel? What does it mean for the field of Israel Studies?

These and other questions will be discussed by an online expert panel of five professors of Israel Studies in the United States, including Dr. Ilai Saltzman.
