Jewish Studies minor student summer excursion as an archivist.

This summer 2026, Sylvia Cotten, B.A. in History, minor in Jewish Studies from the University of Maryland, shares her 2026 field study as an archivist at the Catholic University of America (CUA). "My field study at the Catholic University of America taught me how to be a successful information professional in the field. I learned how to efficiently handle and catalogue antiquarian and rare books in both the Lynn-Peterson and Library of Congress classification systems, and match MARC records and OCLC numbers with WorldCat and internal library University systems. In other words, lots of archival things!"
