Explore the long and complex relationship between the American Jewish community and Israel, from its historical foundations to the challenges of the present and questions about the future.

Particular attention will be given to the period following the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel and the subsequent Gaza War—a turning point in the relationship that has deeply affected Jewish communities in the United States. While many American Jews continue to feel a strong emotional and political connection to Israel, the ongoing war has also intensified debates, exposed generational differences, and raised difficult moral, political, and communal questions.
