His work focuses on the experiences of Palestinian citizens of Israel during the nation's political crisis from 2019 to 2022. A major scholarly contribution, Thair delves into identity politics within intractable conflicts, examining how political turmoil influences the identity and political engagement of minority communities. Through his dissertation, Thair aims to shed light on the challenges and dynamics faced by Palestinian citizens in Israel amid political instability, contributing to a deeper understanding of identity politics in conflict settings.
