Dr. Vardit Lightstone dissertation recently accepted in completion of a dual PhD

Congratulations to Dr. Vardit Lightstone, whose dissertation entitled "Performing Migrant Identity: Canadian Yiddish Personal Narratives" was recently accepted in completion of a dual PhD degree in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literature and the Collaborative Program in Jewish Studies at University of Toronto and the Folklore and  Folk Culture Program at Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  

Dr. Lightstone will be joining the Joseph and Rebecca Meyerhoff Program and Center for Jewish Studies later this fall to begin a two-year position as the Kaplan Fellow in History and Culture of North American Jewry.
