Online Lecture: Generals in the Classroom with Dr. Ilai Saltzman and Dr. Anat Stern
Senior military officers and civilian officials who are earmarked to occupy leading positions in their country’s national security establishment oftentimes attend designated Professional Military Education (PME) institutions as a prerequisite. These colleges and universities are focused on instilling the intellectual capacity to effectively engage and solve macro-level and acute challenges as well as employ critical thinking skills to ensure intellectual agility and flexibility. In this lecture, the speakers will compare the Israel National Defense College (INDC) and the National Defense University (NDU) to identify the differences and similarities between the two institutions and explain what it says about Israel’s and the US’ strategic culture and approach to the future of national security.
