Lauren Kotkin (M.Ed., Lesley University) is director of educational programs at Exponent Philanthropy, the nation’s largest philanthropy membership association. Her professional interests include the development and delivery of educational programs to private foundation staff and trustees. Her current projects promote the shift to catalytic philanthropy, which leverages local knowledge and connections to transform the philanthropic process. The arts provide a through-line for Lauren’s approach to the nonprofit world, from her experience as a museum educator to her work with DC-area arts organizations including Artomatic, a multimedia arts festival.
